Following a four week trial the Tuesday session of Walking Hockey has been cancelled due to lack of participants. The Monday session continues at 8:00pm we can take as many people as would like to come.
Men’s 1 went away to Redbridge and Ilford looking to consolidate third place in the table and achieved it with a 4-3 win with goals from Harry Olorenshaw 2, Walter Forsey and Kevin Cox.
Men’s 5 maintained their unbeaten record with a 2-2 draw at Chelmsford thanks to Damian Murray and Jamie Burtenshaw while Men’s 3 grabbed a point at Redbridge & Ilford thanks to Captain Simon Olorenshaw’s goal.
A second weekly session of Walking Hockey will take place on Tuesday Mornings from 10:00 am starting on Tuesday 30th October. Initially we will run sessions for 6 weeks and assuming we have enough interest will continue all year round. The new men’s 5 team made up with several of those who started at the club in Rush Hockey have started with a bang this season with 2 victories out of 2.
This week saw a 6-2 victory over Romford 3 with Marc Chatters scoring 2, Tony Puddick ( making a welcome return after illness) 1, Jacob Ford 1, Jamie Burtenshaw 1 and Ed Rowe 1.
With the finish of Summer Rush we are pleased to announce that Winter Rush starts Monday 10th September 6:30pm for 2 hours. Bob Freeman will be running the sessions.
