WELCOME TO BRAINTREE HOCKEY CLUB

We welcome you to Braintree Hockey club, whatever your age or ability, and hope you enjoy your time with us!

Braintree Hockey Club is one of the leading clubs in Essex with 5 men’s teams and 3 ladies teams in the East Area Hockey League. In addition, the club offers Rush Hockey, Walking Hockey and Summer Hockey which offer opportunities for all standards.

It is committed to promoting and developing junior hockey (for young people from 6 yrs to 16 yrs) and has an active social programme. The club is renowned for its friendliness and pursuit of good sportsmanship.

Braintree Hockey Club owns its own grounds (one Astro Turf pitch and its own clubhouse with bar, kitchen facilities and changing rooms) in Bocking, Braintree and our junior section, Braintree Blue Hornets, trains at Felsted School.

We provide a wide range of training sessions to cater for all levels of commitment and ability.

ADULT TRAINING & MATCHES
Men's training: Tuesdays 7.30-9.30pm
Ladies training: Wednesdays 7.30-9.30pm
Matches are scheduled on Saturdays from September to March.

JUNIOR TRAINING & MATCHES
Our MINIS section is for U8's -U12's and they train and play matches on Sunday mornings.
Our YOUTH section is for U14's-U16's and they train on a Thursday evening and play matches on a Sunday.
Players aged 13 years + who are of an appropriate standard may also train with the Men's section on a Tuesday for boys or the Ladies' section on a Wednesday evening for the girls. They are also eligible for selection for the Adult matches on a Saturday.

RUSH HOCKEY takes place every Monday from 6:45pm to 8:15pm and is open to any player aged 8+.

WALKING HOCKEY takes place at 8.15pm - 9.15pm every Monday night throughout the year at BHC - it is open to all and new players are always welcome.
