Covid 19 update

The Executive Committee hope that everyone has managed to stay well during lockdown and that you are coping especially those with home schooling responsibilities!

Following the latest Government advice around easing lockdown there is scope for more exercise. We have received a number of requests for families to use the Astro for a run around while we would love to yes say we feel its to early as the guidance for public facilities remains confused and also it would be very difficult to control use and numbers. While this will be disappointing for the time being the astro must remains closed and out of bounds to all. This will be kept under constant review as guidance becomes clearer from our governing body.

We all hope to get back on the hockey pitch in the near future, who cares its nearly summer!

For those keen to get fitter Joe Lewis from JL Fitness based next to clubhouse is offering 1:1 personal training to BHC and his members. Please see details below:-

Dear Hockey Club Members,

As of Monday 18th May, I will be offering my services as a Personal Trainer 3 to 4 days a week, depending on interest. I will start next week working on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday basis (potentially Saturday morning too). During these days I will be offering 2 different options:

1 to 1 PT
• You and I training for about 1 hour (2-1 Training if you come from the same household)
• Sessions will be £20 – NO CASH, can pay via Contactless machine or bank transfer
• Block payments available, book 10 sessions for £150 (£15 each session)
• Distancing from each other at all times
• Inside/outside – weather depending
• Book in via Facebook @JLFItness-Bocking
• text/phone 07940 543273
• email JLFitness-Bocking@outlook.com
• 24 hour minimum notice
• Available between 8am – 7pm, and around the Group PT hour slots
• Please allow for time between sessions for me to thoroughly clean any equipment

The hope is that once allowed I will offer Group PT/Outdoor Bootcamp

I want to highlight here that this is all down to government guidelines, and could alter week to week. I must ensure safety for everyone, including myself, which is why I’ve decided to do this. Please bring your own drinks/towels from now on. I have had permission from the hockey club to do this, but the toilet facilities will be CLOSED, so please bare that in mind. If you would like to notify any family or friends that would be interested in getting involved, feel free to forward this email on to them, it would be hugely appreciated.

I look forward to hearing from you. If you could let me know your thoughts/interest, what you’d like to do, what hours you could do etc then I can start planning ahead to next week.

Thank you all!

Joe Lewis
